Down Bubble is a nautical term for the downward trim of a submarine. For this set of quilts, it’s another way to say they are “down”-right adorable. The wall hanging features a pieced submarine with appliqued windows. There is a single strip from the border print across the bottom, but the leftover piece is big enough to be the backing. The quilt features the same appliqued submarine windows and a set of simple uneven 9-patch blocks. If you cut very carefully, you can get enough motifs from the panel to use 1 panel to create both pieces.
